On 2 September Presidents of the Artsakh Republic and Republic of Armenia Bako Sahakyan and Serzh Sargsyan partook at festive events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the NKR proclamation.
Heads of the two Armenian states attended the Stepanakert Memorial Complex and laid flowers to the tombs of freedom fighters perished for Artsakh's independence and freedom and the first speaker of the NKR National Assembly Arthur Mkrtchyan.
NKR second President Arkady Ghoukasyan, primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Arayik Haroutyunyan, high-ranking officials from Artsakh and Armenia, representatives from the Diaspora and guests from abroad partook at the events.
