25th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Lebanon

Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Gebran Bassil exchanged messages on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Lebanon.
In his message, Edward Nalbandian notes that few countries in the world are connected with so many threads as Armenia and Lebanon. Our friendship is anchored in deep historical connections, ancient cultural ties and in the warmth that the two people have for each other. Minister Nalbandian underlines that the large Lebanese Armenian community is one of the key factors in the dynamic development and strengthening of those ties.
Foreign Minister of Armenia stresses that on that solid foundation a quarter of a century ago the interstate relations between our countries were established and developed, being distinguished by mutual trust and respect towards each other. Minister Nalbandian adds that today hardly there is such an area which is not included in the wide scope of the Armenian-Lebanese cooperation.
Edward Nalbandian attaches great importance to the traditionally warm relations between our countries and expresses confidence that through joint efforts we would contribute to further strengthening and deepening of multilayered collaboration.
In his message, Gebran Bassil notes that during the last twenty-five years, despite the fact that the world politics has witnessed numerous changes, the friendly collaborative relations between Armenia and Lebanon have been further strengthened and deepened by reciprocal support in relation to the issues of vital interests for our countries and intensification of close cooperation in various areas. Minister Bassil emphasizes that the relations between our two countries maintain the positive momentum of comprehensive development, which is fully satisfying for the Lebanese side.
Foreign Minister of Lebanon stresses that 2017 provides an opportunity not only to celebrate this important milestone and our achievements, but also to outline and further promote our bilateral relations and cooperation.
Minister Bassil reaffirms in his message the commitment of the Government of Lebanon to further strengthening of the relations with Armenia.
