YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 17, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The RA
Minister of Diaspora Ms. Hranush Hakobian has appealed to the
Armenians around the world to support Laura who will represent
Armenia at the Junior Eurovision 2009 Song Contest. The minister
expressed a hope that November 21 - the day when the song
contest will be held will "become a day of unity, solidarity and
victory".
According to the Ministry of Diaspora, Hranush Hakobian's
message in particular reads:
"I appeal to the Armenians around the world, our distant
close relatives, our compatriots, all those whose souls burn
with Armenian spirit, all those whose hearts are full of pride
in the homeland, all those who are always with Armenia in their
thoughts, and those whose look is directed towards the Mother
Homeland.
I appeal to you with love, faith and hope because Laura
Hayrapetyan, a wonderful little Armenian girl is our bright
and delicate daughter and she has the honor to represent Armenia
at the Junior Eurovision 2009 Song Contest and sing her song
dedicated to "Barcelona" football team.
I am confident that our grandmothers and grandfathers and
all the Armenians worldwide will unite on that day and will
prove their unity by voting for our charming Laura. I am sure
that our men who proudly present Armenians in various parts of
the world will find time to call and vote for our child prodigy.
I do believe that the Armenian women and girls will display
solidarity and give their votes for their younger sister - Laura.
Win, dear Laura, but in order to win, one must win first of
all with one's heart and soul. Your victory will further
strengthen the young Armenians' feeling of being an Armenian and
their pride, our spirit of collective creative activity. Dear
Laura, the Armenians from Homeland and the Diaspora support you,
it is a powerful army of supporters, and the Spirit, moral power
and warmth of all the Armenians are with you.
We believe in your talent. Be strong, become stronger
through your victory and make us stronger. The enthusiasm, love
and faith of the whole Armenian people is with you.
Dear compatriots, we are a nation of Spirit. The spirit has
been a driving force throughout our centuries-old history. At
this moment Laura Hayrapetian is carrying out a mission for the
triumph of our song. Let's jointly convey the moral power and
love of the 10-million Armenian world, its faith and strength to
our wonderful daughter and gain a victory together.
We do believe that the 21st of November will be a day of
unity, a day of solidarity, and a day of victory.
