YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. "Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan's meetings with representatives of the Diaspora
regarding the pre-signed Armenia-Turkey protocols are an
unprecedented step," RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan
said on September 30. In her words, since the very first day of
his term of office, the president has underscored the importance
of the Diaspora, and this step proves that.
"The president wants to show that the work with the
Diaspora is meaningful and does not have a formal nature. I
think the Diaspora will be satisfied as the Diaspora Armenians
have the opportunity to voice their concerns and proposals to
the president. This step demonstrates once again that the
Diaspora is a key factor for us," Ms. Hakobyan said.
