BLAGOVESHCHENSK, SEPTEMBER 28, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. On the occasion of Armenia's Independence Day, "Our Force is in Unity" Armenian youth movement organized on September 21 a festive event in the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk (Amur Region). In the words of the movement activist Karapet Zhamkochian, the message of RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Stepan Petrosian to the Armenian youth of Amur Region was read, following which Chairman of the Armenian community in Amur Region Norayr Karapetian made a salutatory speech. A guest from Armenia - singer Artash Asatrian, the son of Aram Asatrian of blessed memory, gave a concert. "Our Force in Unity" movement implements its programs and holds various events with the assistance of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. The Armenian Sunday School was opened in Blagoveshchensk in September of this year, a newspaper in Armenian is published. It is envisaged building an Armenian Sport Center in the city.
