YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 22, NOYAN TAPAN. The ceremony of unveiling the Khachkar - a monument symbolizing the Armenian-Catalan friendship took place at the square near the Royal Palace in Barcelona on September 19. The event was organized on the initiative of the Friends of Armenia NGO led by Armenian citizen David Hambartsumian. As NT was informed by the RA MFA Press and Information Department, deputies of the Catalan parliament, the personal representative of the Mayor of Barcelona, some five hundred Armenians living in Barcelona, and the RA Consul Mher Badalian were present at the ceremony.
