YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, NOYAN TAPAN. A sitting within the framework of the first Pan-Armenian Forum of Lawyers on the subject "Armenian Juridical Thought and the Challenges of the 21st Century" was held at the RA Constitutional Court on September 20. The sitting was presided over by Gagik Harutyunian, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, J.D., Professor. The subject of the discussion was "The Principles of the Creation of the All-Armenian Association of Lawyers, the Procedure of its Activities, and Organizational Issues". As the Press and PR Department of RA Ministry of Diaspora reported, an active discussion took place, with many issues and proposals being voiced. G. Harutyunian spoke in detail about the requirements of the program and the steps to be taken. He expressed a hope that by establishing an efficient cooperation, it will become possible to deal with numerous problems facing the Armenians and especially the Homeland - both from the political and legal point of view. In his words, today the Armenians have such problems as the recognition of the independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the only formula for resolution of these problems is the unity of the nation and the correct legal solutions. Therefore the best solution is the foundation of the Association of Lawyers and the successful development of joint projects. Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian concluded the discussion by thanking those present for their active participation and their support to the cause for the nation's benefit, anticipating fruitful work of the Association.
