YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The 3rd stage meetings took place at the Jermuk Grand Prix International Tournament on August 11. Levon Aronian (Armenia) played a drawn game with Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria), and Vladimir Hakobian (Armenia) with Gata Kamsky (U.S.). Only Yevgeni Alekseyev (Russia) - Irnesto Inarkiev (Russia) game had an effective end. Levon Aronian, Peter Leko (Hungary) and Ivan Cheparinov are leaders, having each of them 2 points after three stages. Vladimir Hakobian and other 8 chess players have 1.5 points each. Aronian will compete at the 4th stage scheduled for August 12 with Gata Kamsky and Hakobian will compete with Rustam Kasimjanov (Uzbekistan).
