On 20 July President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Artsakh Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The message runs as follows:
"Honorable employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh,
On behalf of the authorities and personally I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Ministry.
The NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as an important state body of every independent and sovereign state, was established for our people in a decisive period during the hottest period of Azerbaijani aggression.
Acting in a state of martial law, the Department has gone through a complex and difficult path, with honor, fulfilling its tasks.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs actively participated in the talks on the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and the signing and signing of the 1994 ceasefire agreement.
After the end of the war, the ministry officials actively participated in the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict, simultaneously defending the interests of the republic on international platforms, developing mutually beneficial cooperation with different countries, presenting true information about Artsakh to the world and fighting the aggressive behavior of Azerbaijan in the political and news media.
I am convinced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh having the necessary potential will henceforth carry out its functions properly and will represent our country in the foreign arena.
