Yerevan, MAY 17, Noyan Tapan. "The disaster at the Nairit chemical plant must be another alarm for the heads and owners of Armenia's other enterprises," the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said during his visit to Nairit on May 15. The president walked about the site of disaster which occurred on May 14, when absorption tower burned down due to breakage at chloroprene section. 4 people died and 8 injured in the accident. The president got acquainted with the circumstances of the accident. Serzh Sargsyan was told about the works at the factory to investigate causes of the blast and to overcome fire consequences. The president emphasized the necessity of examining the reasons to exclude such accidents in future. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, saying that serious conclusions should be drawn from the accident.
