Armenian state budget revenues decrease by 9.7% against
first quarter of 2008

YEREVAN, MAY 8, NOYAN TAPAN. In 2009 January-March RA state
budget's revenues made nearly 139.8bn drams and expenditures
153.4bn drams, on the line of which 103.1% and 90.9% of the
quarterly program reconsidered by the RA government was
provided, respectively. This was 15.6% of the annual planned
revenues and 17.2% of the annual planned expenditures.
According to the Information and Public Relations
Department of the RA Ministry of Finance, as compared with
previous year's first quarter, state budget revenues decreased
by 9.7% or by 14.9bn drams. It was due to a 16.7% or 21.4bn
drams decrease of revenues on the line of taxes and duties. In
the same period compulsory social security payments and other
revenues increased by 251.2m drams (by 1.2%) and 3.7bn drams
(68.6%), respectively. Official grants amounted to more than
2.5bn drams against 18.5m drams of previous year's
January-March.
76.3% state budget revenues were formed at the expense of
taxes and duties, 15.4% compulsory social security payments,
6.6% other revenues, and 1.8% official grants. In correspondence
with point 18, Article 9 of RA law On Republic of Armenia 2009
State Budget, the state budget also involves state enterprises'
extra-budget funds' resources, the revenues of which amounted to
3.6bn drams in the first three months of the current year
against 3.1bn drams recorded in previous year's first quarter.
