In the period of March 9-13, the banks bought 40,337,547 USD at the average exchange rate of 363.20 drams per dollar from their customers and sold 38,724,318 million USD at the average exchange rate of 367.20 drams per dollar in the intra-bank foreign currency market, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) reported. The sale and purchase of 15,580,000 USD at the average exchange rate of 371.43 drams per dollar was made in NASDAK OEMEX ARMENIA OJSC exchange in the same period. The gross amount of transactions on March 9-13 made 110,221,865 USD at the average exchange rate of 366.93 drams per dollar. The gross amount is calculated by adding the doubled amount of exchange trade to the sum of the intra-bank sales and purchases. According to the same source, the banks provided dram credits of 10.1 billion drams and dollar credits of 13.5 million USD on March 2-8.
