Revenues of Armenia's state budget grow by 19.1%,
expenditures by 24.3% in January-November 2008

YEREVAN, JANUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. In January-November 2008,
the RA state budgetary revenues made 695.3 billion drams (more
than 2 bln 273.7 mln USD), expenditures made 673.1 bln drams,
which ensured the implementation of the programmed annual
indices by 90.4% and 84.7% respectively.
According to the press service of the RA ministry of
finance, the state budgetary revenues grew by 19.1% or 111.6 bln
drams, expenditures by 24.3% or 131.4 bln drams as compared with
the same period of the previous year. The taxes and duties grew
by 21.3% or 100.9 bln drams, the compulsory social security
payments - by 18.4% or 14.4 bln drams, the official grants - by
93.6% or 1.7 bln drams, while other revenues (previously called
"nontax revenues") declined by 17.6% or 5.4 bln drams. As a
result, the share of taxes and duties in the revenues increased
by 1.5%, that of official grants - by 0.2%, whereas the share of
compulsory social security payments and other revenues declined
by 0.1% and 1.6% respectively.
79.5% of state budgetary revenues formed from tax revenues,
2.9% - from state duties, 13.3% - from compulsory social
security payments, 0.5% - official grants, and 3.7% - from other
revenues.
In accordance with point 18 Article 9 of the RA Law on the
2008 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia, the resources of
the state institutions' off-budget funds were also included in
the state budget. Their incomes amounted to over 15 billion
drams in the reporting period as compared with 12.6 billion
drams in the previous year.
