YEREVAN, DECEMBER 15, NOYAN TAPAN. At the December 11 sitting, the Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) expressed concerns about democratic governance in Armenia, Radio Liberty reported. The MCC Board of Directors underlined that it expects Armenia to fulfil its obligations and implement real reforms. The MCC Board of Directors decided that it will again consider the issue of allocating 6,811,305 dollars to the Millennium Challenge Account for rehabilitation of rural roads and improvement of irrigation networks in Armenia in March 2009. At the same time Radio Liberty reminded that a sitting of MCA-Armenia's Governing Council with the participation of the Armenian prime minister took place on December 10, during which the bid for 10th allocation to be submitted to MCC for programs to be implemented in the first quarter of 2009 was ratified.
