One new postage stamp dedicated to 2021 Aurora Prize Laureate Julienne Lusenge

On October 31st, 2022, a postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Aurora Humanitarian Initiative. Laureates of “Aurora” Prize. Julienne Lusenge” has been cancelled and put into circulation.
 
The postage stamp was cancelled by the Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of the Republic of Armenia Davit Sahakyan, the Head of Artsakh programs of Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Narine Aghabalyan, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of “HayPost” CJSC Arayik Abrahamyan, the President of the Philatelists’ Armenian Association Hovik Musayelyan.
 
The postage stamp with nominal value of 350 AMD is printed in “Cartor” printing house in France with print-run of 12 000 stamps. The designer of the postage stamp is Alla Mingalyova.
 
“HayPost” CJSC has issued a donation coupon for 150 AMD attached to the postage stamp. “HayPost” CJSC will transfer 150 AMD donation value to the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative.   
 
The postage stamp depicts the sixths Aurora Prize Laureate, a Congolese human rights defender Julienne Lusenge. She is a co-founder and president of Women's Solidarity for Inclusive Peace and Development (SOFEPADI) and co-founder of the Fund for Congolese Women (FFC), who has been supporting the victims of wartime sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for years. In the last 40 years, thanks to the efforts of Julien Lusenge more than 800 people, committed violence and war crimes, have been brought to justice.
