YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, NOYAN TAPAN. There are 80 big trade
organization points with a total of 9,144 trade places where
2,900 cash registers were installed as of October 17. The deputy
chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Armen Alaverdian said
at a press conference on the same day that 5 companies engaged
in the import of cash registers will soon supply more than 4,000
cash registers to fairs. The number of cash registers ordered
under the agreements signed between the importers and the trade
organizers makes 7,302.
According to A. Alaverdian, these figures bear evidence of
the fact that serious progress has already been achieved in the
introducton of cash registers which began a month ago. At the
same time he noted that the introduction process is not so
successful in regional centers, in particular, in Armavir,
Kotayk, Abovian, Gyumri, Vanadzor and Martuni.
He reminded that those trade organization points which will
not meet the licensing requirements, including the availability
of cash registers, will have to stop their activities. A.
Alaverdian announced that over 20 trade organization points
stopped their work for this reason.
It was mentioned the the Committee's hot line receives
complaints that some shop assistants are forced to purchase cash
registers with their own money, whereas, as A. Alaverdian
underlined, cash registers must be purchased by organizers of
trade points.
He said that it is envisaged completing the introduction of
cash registers at trade points in late October. In his words,
the experts of the Committee assist orgnaizers of trade points
as well as cash register importing companies in order to finish
the introduction process as soon as possible. Some versions of
receiving data through the network of cash registers at trade
points are being discussed now.
