YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The 18th World Championship of Veteran Chess Players will start on October 28 in Germany. 318 sportsmen aged 60 and above are registered for participation in the championship. 13 out of them are grand masters. The contest order is Swiss and consists of 11 rounds. The winner will receive 2500 euros, the second prize-winner 2000 euros, and the third 1500 euros. Many-times champion of Armenia, international master Edward Mnatsakanian will take part in the World Championship for the first time.
