YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN. The One Window system of acception of citizens's applications and the ELPAS automated system of electronic document circulation introduced in Yerevan Mayor's Office and in 12 Yerevan communities work efficiently today. As Grigor Melkumian, the Head of the Staff of Yerevan Mayor's Office, said at the October 6 press conference, document circulation has become active, the quality and efficiency of discussion of citizens' applications has improved in Mayor's Office as a result of One Window's introduction and efficient operation. According to him, after the introduction of the above mentioned systems the number of applications submitted by citizens to Mayor's Office increased in January-September 2008 as compared with the previous years and made 63 700, while 57 601 applications were submitted in 2007. 52% applications regard issues of communal sphere, 20% urban development, 17% property, 6% legal sphere. It was also mentioned that the number of dual application-complaints reduced three-fold. According to G. Melkumian, the number of commissions done on the basis of applications also increased by 93% in January-September as compared with 2007, amounting to 106 557. Besides, the average business of one employee on the line of serving applicants increased amounting to 224.
