TAMPERE, APRIL 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The Free-Style Wrestling Championship of Europe started in the city of Tampere of Finland on April 1. The Armenian national team is taking part in this championship with a full staff. Certain results of the preliminary wrestlings are already known. Mihran Jaburian (55 kg, Yerevan) and Jirayr Hovhannisian (66 kg, Vanadzor) have entered the semi-final. If they are able to win and take third place, they will receive olympic passes as the wrestlers, who have entered the final in that weight category, already have rating. Vadim Laliev (84 kg, Yerevan) will also wrestle for the third place but even if he wins, he will not receive a pass. The thing is that the two wrestlers, who have entered the semi-final, do not have rating. Super-heavy weight Ruslan Basiev has been defeated twice and did not qualify.
