YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The Institute for
Democracy and Human Rights has expressed its anxiety in
connection with the delay of the 2005-2006 account and
reconsideration of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper in its
open letter addressed to the Prime Minister of the Republic of
Armenia. The Institute for Democracy and Human Rights reminds
that the reconsideration process of the Poverty Reduction
Strategy Paper was envisaged to be concluded in September 2006.
It is mentioned in the open letter: "The circumstance that
society has not been decently informed about the reasons and
fact of the delay of the above-mentioned processes is causing
anxiety. In our opinion, the principles of the transparency and
accountability of the implementation of the program have been
violated in this case."
At the end of the letter a call is made to the
coordinating council of the Poverty Reduction Stratagy Paper
for respecting and implementing the principles and agreements
stipulated in the program as the implementation of the Poverty

Armenia.
