YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, NOYAN TAPAN. At the October 11 special session, the RA National Assembly passed in first reading the bill on amendments to the Law on Minimum Monthly Salary. The government in particular proposes that in accordance with the RA State Program on Medium-Term Expenditures for 2008-2010, starting from January 1, 2008, the minimum monthly salary be fixed at 25 thousand drams (about 73.5 USD) instead of the current minimum salary of 20 thousand drams. In connection with this, the bill on an amendment to the Law on Income Tax was passed in first reading, under which the minimum non-taxable income has been fixed at 25 thousand drams.
