YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. Translators Nvard Vardanian, Hakob Khachikian, a Canadian-Armenian prose-writer, and German-Armenian Raffi Kantian have been awarded the "Kantegh" (Light) annual literary prize of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Writers' Union of Armenia this year. According to the information provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Levon Ananian, the Chairman of the Writers' Union of Armenia, the prize was given to the Armenian Diasporan translators for translating the Armenian literature into foreign languages, and Nvard Vardanian for introducing the highly valuable patterns of the French literature to the Armenian reader.
