YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, NOYAN TAPAN. 239 adopting candidates, including 86 from foreign countries, have been taken account of in the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the first half of 2007. According to the information provided to a Noyan Tapan correspondent by Lena Hayrapetian, the Head of the Department for Family, Women's and Children's Problems of RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the above-mentioned adopting candidate foreign citizens are mainly Armenians. At the same period 124 children liable to adoption were taken account of, 30 of whom were affiliated, including 17 by RA citizens and 13 by foreigners. Lena Hayrapetian mentioned that mainly children between 1 and 6 years old are adopted.
