YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, NOYAN TAPAN. The series of competitions of Group IV of the European/African zone of Davis Cup Tournament started in Yerevan on August 8. The representative team of Armenia met with the tennis players of Rwanda on the same day. In solo games Haroutiun Sofian defeated Erik Hageniman (6:0, 6:3), and Hayk Zohranian was defeated by Jin Klaude Gasiku (3:6, 2:6). The Sofian-Zohranian couple won in the couple games. The representative team of Montenegro defeated that of Botswana both in solo and couple games. The representative team of Armenia will compete with the team of Andorra on August 9.
