YEREVAN, JUNE 7, NOYAN TAPAN. According to data of the State Register of Legal Entities and Private Businessmen of the RA Ministry of Justice, in January-April 2007, 1,255 commercial legal entities and 2,412 private businessmen got registered, and their number as of May 1, 2007 made 54,728 and 41,695 respectively. According to the RA National Statistical Service, as of May 1, 2006, 52,922 legal entities and 73,567 private businessmen were registered: over the past year the number of legal entities grew by 3.41%, while the number of private businessmen declined by 43.32%. In January-April 2007, 394 legal entities and 550 private businessmen were liquidated. The 1,255 legal entities, which got registered in the indicated period of 2007, made investments of 1 bln 507.64 thousand drams (over 4 mln 191 thousand USD). Investments of 603.67 mln drams were made in 92 enterprises founded by foreign legal entities and citizens, investments of 95.2 mln drams - in 27 joint ventures, and investments of 508.47 mln drams were made in 65 enterprises founded with foreign capital only.
