SINGER ALLA LEVONIAN APPOINTED UNICEF ARMENIA GOODWILL

YEREVAN, APRIL 18, NOYAN TAPAN. Singer Alla Levonian was
appointed the UNICEF Armenia Goodwill Ambassador. As Sheldon
Yett, the UNICEF Armenia Office Representative stated at the
April 18 press conference, A. Levonian was chosen the Goodwill
Ambassador not only for her talent and fame, but also for
readiness to participate in charity programs addressed to
Armenian children's well-being. "We hope that A. Levonian's
voice will help us to draw the society's attention to the most
important problems of children of Armenia," the UNICEF
representative mentioned.
"It is a great honour for me to undertake such a
responsible mission. I have been responsible by now only for my
two children, now I feel responsibility for all children of
Armenia," the singer mentioned, adding that she is ready to do
everything possible for children's problems always remain in the
center of the society's attention.
A. Levonian stated that she will present a number of
charity programs with the goal of propaganda of the children's
rights protection.
