CONSTRUCTION OF IRAN-ARMENIA RAILWAY STILL DISCUSSED

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The issue of
construction of the Iran-Armenia railway is being discussed, and
the Armenian side is seeking sources of its financing. The RA
Minister of Transport and Communication Andranik Manukian told
reporters on February 13 that 1 billion dollars necessary for
the construction work will not be allocated from the state
budget. According to him, although some organizations have
already showed interest in the railway's construction, none has
assumed this work.
