On July 20, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received the newly appointed Ambassador of Thailand to Armenia Chalermpol Thancitt (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials. Congratulating the guest, Minister Nalbandian wished good luck in fulfilling his mission and expressed hope that the Ambassador’s activities would contribute to the development of the Armenian-Thai relations, creating a strong background for their expansion. Ambassador Thancitt thanked for the wishes, underlining that his country is interested in the expansion and development of relations with Armenia. Chalermpol Thancitt assured that he would do his utmost to deepen the bilateral relations. In the course of the meeting the interlocutors discussed different ways of further development of bilateral relations and touched upon issues related to the reinforcement of legal framework, conducting of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, promotion of economic cooperation, intensification of cultural exchanges, establishment of inter-parliamentary relations and interaction between Armenia and Thailand in the international organizations.
