YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, NOYAN TAPAN. 54% of pasta production is brought to Armenia from Russia, 32% from Italy, the rest from Ukraine, Turkey and other countries. It was mentioned at the November 8 sitting of the RA Commission on Protection of Economic Competition that there is no economy entity occupying prevailing position in the "pasta production" goods market. In accordance with it, the AAFPC Armenian-American joint venture is the greatest importer in the republic, the share of which made 30% in the market, the Arsen and Yervand LTD follows it with 11%. The commission, taking into consideration the circumstance, that 1.8 kg pasta per head was sold in Armenia annually, and 5 kg were sold in 1986, decided to give results of study of the pasta production market to the RA State Tax Service. It was mentioned that 3 thousand 316.5 tons of pasta production was brought to Armenia in 2005.
