YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenian businessmen
sustain quite considerable losses because of the closing of the
Verin Lars crossing point: only transport expenses grew by
7-20%. The RA Minister of Trade and Economic Development Karen
Chshmaritian told this to reporters on October 19. According to
him, some Armenian goods have remained in Novorossiysk.
The minister said that Armenian businessmen quickly found a
solution in the situation, and now goods are transported through
Ilyichevsk and Varna. In his words, there is no problem with the
transportation of goods through the territory of Georgia.
