YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. A number of Armenian
higher education institutions cooperate with higher education
institutions of Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium,
Austria, Greece and other countries thanks to the TEMPUS-TACIS
project on EU's assistance to CIS countries in educational
sphere. Project head in Armenia, Irina Movsisian, said this at
the October 10 event under the title Information Day held at
Yerevan State University.
In her words, in total, 28 projects each lasting 3 years
are implemented in Armenia in management, social labor and
politics, medical and engineering sciences and other spheres. In
her words, few students are involved in these projects: mainly
lecturers and post-graduate students of higher education
institutions take part in them.
Alexander Grigorian, YSU Prorector on Education, said that
the biggest project currently operating at YSU, Joint European
Project (JEP), is aimed at improving library work and creating
an electronic library at the University. The University
cooperates with Hannover and a number of other European
universities for this purpose. YSU Prorector also said that it
is also envisaged to introduce a tele-teaching system at YSU with
JEP grants, which will enable to organize teaching by new
methods, through Internet and e-mail.
