KAPAN, AUGUST 3, NOYAN TAPAN. 145 grain harvest combiners
are now operating in Syunik marz, mainly in Sisian and Goris
regions. NT correspondent was informed from Kajik Khachatrian,
head of the agriculture and environmental protection department
of the Syunik regional administration that this circumstance has
a negative impact on the activities of farms of Kapan and Meghri
regions.
He explained that the owners of these combiners decide
which crops and on whose areas must be harvested. For example,
they refused to provide machinery for harvesting crops of the
Meghri region's Lichk and Tashtun rural communities of the total
area of 40-50 ha. According to K. Khachatrian, in order to deal
with the problem, the RA Ministry of Agriculture offers
machinery for 3.5 mln drams (about 8.3 thousand USD) for a unit.
He said that the above mentioned communities can buy this
equipment with their resources and then use it jointly.
