YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. A book-album under the title "Sergei Parajanov: Letters to Zone" was published in connection with Sergei Parajanov's 80th birth anniversary. The book includes all letters and photographs sent to the great film director to prison by his relatives and friends. As Zaven Sargsian, Director of Sergei Parajanov's House-Museum, mentioned in his interview to Noyan Tapan's correspondent, these letters having a value of documents today, are published for this first time. According to him, on the basis of the letters readers can form a conception about methods applied in prisons especially in relation to political prisoners. In this respect the book is an excellent source for researchers. Zaven Sargsian also informed that the book was published in the Russian language as all authors of the letters wrote only in Russian.
