NEARLY 87 MLN DRAMS TO BE ALLOCATED IN 2006 FOR PURPOSE OF
FOUNDING CENTER FOR SOCIAL RELIEF TO HOMELESS PEOPLE

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. Nearly 87 mln drams
(nearly 193 thousand USD) will be allocated for the first time
in 2006 for the purpose of founding a center for social relief
to homeless people in Yerevan. Noyan Tapan's correspondent was
informed about it by Jemma Baghdasarian, Head of the Department
on Disabled and Old People's Problems of RA Ministry of Labor
and Social Issues. She mentioned that the homeless people will
live at the center for several months, will get medical and
psychological service, free food there. And after specification
of juridical, document and a number of other issues they will
enter different state tutorial institutions.
According to J.Baghdasarian, the center that will be
located in the building attached to the hostel in the Fourth
Village will start operating from early 2007. And before it,
already this winter, building's 2-3 rooms will be repaired for
the purpose of rendering assistance to people living in the
hardest conditions.
