ARMENIAN FEMALE CHESS PLAYERS BEAT SWISS IN 6th ROUND OF
EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

GOTEBORG, AUGUST 5, NOYAN TAPAN. Competitions of the 6th round of the European Team Championship were held in Goteborg (Sweden). The male team of Armenia playing against the Romanian team ended in a draw 2-2, with a draw being registered on each of the four chess-boards. After the end of the 6th round, the Armenian chess players erned 8 points and placed 6th to 10th positions. The Israeli team earned 11 points and is solo lead in the points table. In the 6th round, the female team of Armenia defeated soundly the Swiss female team - 3-1. Elina Danelian, Nelli Aghinian, Lilit Galoyan won, and Siranush Andreasian drew. The Armenian female team placed 11th to 16th positions with 6 points. The female team of Poland earned 10 points and in lead in the points table. In the next - 7th round, the Armenian male team will play against the French team, and the women - against the Hungarian team. Three rounds remain before the end of the European Team Championship.
