YEREVAN, December 22 (Noyan Tapan). On December 22, RA President Robert Kocharian participated in the opening of the rope-way at the sport base in Tsaghkadzor. Only the first sector of 2500-meter rope-way worth 3 mln dollars has been put into operation. It is expected that the second sector of the rope-way will be put into operation next year. Robert Kocharian mentioned the importance of the establishment of infrastructures on the way to turning Tsaghkadzor into the winter health resort of international class. According to the RA President, "there will be greater achievements in terms of the improvement of Tsaghkadzor and nearby villages" next year. The project of the construction of the rope-way was implemented by the Swiss "Leitner" company, which annually implements up to 100 similar projects. In particular, such entities were constructed in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Latvia last year.
