"VAHAN TEKEYAN" AWARDING RESULTS TO BE SUMMED UP EARLY IN

YEREVAN, JANUARY 18, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. On
Febraury 4 results of the "Vahan Tekeyan" annual awarding
announced by the Tekeyan Cultural Union of Armenia (TCUA) will
be summed up and prizes will be given for works created in 2004.
As Sergey Galstian, the TCUA Deputy Chairman informed the Noyan
Tapan correspondent, prizes will be will given in eight
nominations: fiction, music, fine arts, theater, archtecture,
photography, TV and radio journalism and humanities. Results of
"Ara and Maral" awarding fixed by the union will be summed up at
the same time. This prize is envisaged for the best works
written for kids and pupils.
S.Galstian mentioned that artists living both in Armenia
and in Diaspora and Artsakh participate in the awarding.
Monetary prizes of 1000 U.S. dollars each are fixed in
every nomination. Those will be given by the U.S. and Canadian
organizations of the union.
The Tekeyan Cultural Union defined the "Vahan Tekeyan"
award in 2004.
