YEREVAN, JANUARY 11, NOYAN TAPAN. In its January 11 statement the board of the Progressive Party of Armenia (PPA) expresses anxiety about the probability of discovery of the bird flu in Armenia. As Noyan Tapan was informed by the party office, PPA considered it necessary to undertake preventive measures. In particular, the party has got disinfecting substances, respirators, medicines and has prepared materials notifying about the bird flu infection. They will be given to the "risk" farms free of charge. It will be done by PPA volunteer detachments.
