YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The sum of medical services rendered in Yerevan health protection sphere in 2005 January-November, within the framework of the state order, made 3 bln 943 mln drams (nearly 8.7 mln USD). As Deputy Yerevan Mayor Kamo Areyan informed at the December 19 press conference, the sum collected from paid services in the same period made 2 bln 119 mln drams. According to him, deaths in the hospital clinical medical aid sphere have decreased by 3% in the 11 months of 2005 compared with the same period of the previous year and the births have increased by 5% and made 12675 or more by 647. K.Areyan mentioned that the Yerevan "Surb Astvatsamayr" medical center will be repaired in 2006, by the investment program of 2.8 mln USD provided by the World Bank (WB). The "Grigor Lusavorich" medical center will be repaired in 2006-2007, for which WB will give 2 mln 894 thousand USD.
