YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, NOYAN TAPAN. On November 21, the national footbal team of Armenia held the final game of the tournament by the group tournament of the "Euro-2008" elimination tour at the Yerevan Republican stadium. The team of Armenia received the national team of Kazakhstan and was defeated with a score of 0:1. The football players of Armenia took the 7th place in the group with 9 points, and the Azeris, who were at the bottom of the tournament table, took the 8th place with 5 points. The national team of Poland took the first place with 28 points, and the Portuguese gained 27 points. The two above mentioned teams gained right to take part in the final of the Europe Championship. In group tournament the Finns took the 3rd place with 24 points, the Serbs took the 4th place with 21 points and the Belgians the 5th place with 18 points. Thus, all the 16 participants of the final became known. In summer 2008, the national teams of Poland, Italy, France, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Romania, Holland, Sweden, Russia, Turkey, Portugal, and of organizing countries, Switzerland and Austria will compete in the playing-fields of Switzerland and Austria. The drawing of lots of the final tournament will take place in Lucerne on December 2.
