On August 29, Armenian-German consultations on the control of dual-use items took place at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From the Armenian side, the representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Economy, the National Security Service, the States Revenue Committee and the Center for Nonproliferation Studies participated in the meeting. The German side was represented by the delegation of Germany's Federal Office for Economy and Export Control (BAFA), which, by the relevant authority of the European Union, implements the functions to control dual-use items. During the meeting, the legislative changes implemented in Armenia, the establishment of relevant bodies and implementations were discussed. The sides touched upon the mechanisms of the control of dual-use items. The sides discussed the possibilities to provide support to the Armenian side for maintaining more effective and efficient control.
