On August 31, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received Christian Schmidt, the Parliamentary State Secretary of German Ministry of Defense. Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Foreign Affairs highly assessed the recent dynamic development of the Armenian-German political dialogue and wide cooperation, expressing hope that this kind of reciprocal visits would further strengthen the Armenian-German relations. On his part, Mr.Christian Schmidt expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of the Armenian-German relations in various spheres, particularly thanked for the Armenian peacekeeping forces’ involvement in the German command for maintaining security in Afghanistan. Upon the request of State Secretary Christian Schmidt, Edward Nalbandian presented the recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. The sides had a thorough talk on a number of international and regional issues.
