STRAINED CONTENTION EXPECTED AT ARMENIA-CZECH MATCH

YEREVAN, October 13 (Noyan Tapan). A number of matches of
the qualifying tournament of the 2006 World Football
Championship will be held on October 13.
The Armenian national team, which is involved in the first
European group, will receive the national team of the Czech
Republic at the Republican stadium of Yerevan. 23
football-players performing in the clubs of Armenia and abroad
participated in the educational-sport camps of the Armenian
team. 18 football-players will participate in the match with the
Czech national team.
To recap, the national team of Armenia unsuccessfully
started the qualifying tournament: the team failed in all its
three matches. The Czech national team was twice defeated and
won one match. This time several leading football-players will
not play within the team. Pavel Naved refused to perform within
the national team at all, Vladimir Schmizer and Karel Poborsky
received injuries, and Milan Barosh wa disqualified.
Nevertheless the Czech national team is quite a strong rival.
