On October 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Edward Nalbandian received Mr. Mustafa Jassim Al Shamali, the Minister of Finance of Kuwait who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the first session of the Armenian-Kuwaiti Intergovernmental Commission. Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nalbandian mentioned that since the state visit of the RA President Mr. Serzh Sargsyan to Kuwait in 2009 the relations between the two countries have been dynamically developing, and the establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission would give a new impulse to the development of bilateral relations. Expressing gratitude for the reception, Mr. Mustafa Jassim Al Shamali underlined that since the establishment of the RA Embassy in Kuwait last year a new impulse was injected into the cooperation, and the Kuwaiti authorities are determined to the further deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation and to that end a decision was made on the opening of the Embassy of Kuwait in Yerevan. In the meeting the sides discussed ways to expand the economic cooperation between the two countries and the issues related to effective usage of the existing potential. The RA Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance of Kuwait exchanged views on international and regional issues.
