On 30 May President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan partook in Yerevan at the first meeting of the state commission on coordinating arrangements dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide chaired by President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. According to the Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President, the Head of the State qualified the Armenian Genocide as one of the most tragic events in the history of our nation underlining the significance of holding events dedicated to its 100th anniversary for Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora, as well as for the international community. Bako Sahakyan noted that Artsakh would by all means assist in proper organization of these events. Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, officials from Armenia and Artsakh, representatives of the Diaspora partook at the meeting.
