SVERDLOVSK REGION IS INTERESTED IN DEEPENING COOPERATION
WITH ARMENIA IN HEALTH SPHERE

YEKATERINBURG, NOVEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The delegation
headed by Norayr Davidian, the RA Minister of Health Care
visited the region (oblast) of Sverdlovsk, within the framework
of the Days of Armenia in Sverdlovsk from October 29 to November
1. Officials of the sphere of health care and culture were in
the delegation staff.
According to the information submitted to Noyan Tapan by
the RA Foreign Ministry's Press and Information Department,
during the visit Norayr Davidian met with A.Levin, the head of
the Governor's administration of the region of Sverdlovsk. The
sides discussed the long-lasting ways of development of trade
and economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation
of Armenia and the marz of Sverdlovsk. The Armenian delegation
head emphasized that the region of Sverdlovsk occupies one of
the first places in the Armenian-Russian interregional
cooperation what is assisted by the periodical visits of the
high-ranking delegations of Armenia and the marz of Sverdlovsk
and the active work in the direction of implementing the reached
agrements.
Norayr Davidian attached importance to widening of
bilateral cooperation in the health care sphere, taking into
consideration the considerable potential of Armenia and the
region of Sverdlovsk in that sphere. A.Levin expressed the
Russian side's interest in widening the cooperation with Armenia
in future as well.
The RA delegation met with the Chairman of the two chambers
of the Legislative Assembly of the region of Sverdlovsk. The
work of legislative power bodies of the sides in the affair of
development of direct tie among RA marzes and RF subjects were
discussed during the meeting.
The delegation visited leading health care institutions of
the marz of Sverdlovsk when long-lasting directions of
partnership and exchange of experience in narrow professional
spheres of health care were discussed with the Russian side.
A concert of opening the Days of Armenia in the region of
Sverdlovsk took place in Yekaterinburg on October 30. The state
dance ensemble of Armenia participated in the concert. The
Yerevan State Pantomime Theater also presented the Armenian
culture and art.
The delegation participated on October 31 in the solemn
opening of the RA Consulate of Honor in Yekaterinburg.
The delegation also visited the place of construction of
the Armenian Surb Karapet church being built in Yekaterinburg.
