International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is bringing together media professionals from Armenia, Turkey and the United States to introduce new skills and help develop professional relationships and partnerships. Throughout the course of this multi-phase program, a dozen Armenian and Turkish media professionals will be paired up to develop cross-border reporting projects. The 12 journalists will participate in internships in the United States, followed by conferences in Ankara and Yerevan to develop best journalistic practices. The project will begin and end with online courses. Throughout these activities, participants will be able to learn new skills in such areas as investigative reporting and digital media, share their experiences with colleagues from Turkey, Armenia and the United States, and contribute to better cross-national dialogue by working with journalists from another country on a joint reporting project. The application deadline is December 5, 2010. Applicants should be able to communicate well in English; interpretation is not provided. All expenses for this program are paid.
