Participants of the “Days of Performing Arts” program visit cultural homes in Yerevan

On July 25, within the framework of the 4th “One Nation, One Culture” Pan-Armenian Festival, the participants of the festival visited the History Museum of Armenia, the National Gallery of Yerevan, as well as Parajanov’s and Hovhannes Tumanyan’s museums. Among the visitors were “Narek” theater company from the Russian city of Krasnodar, actors of the State Theater after Mkrtich Khandamiryan” of Shushi (Artsakh) and “Jeyran” dance group from Tbilisi, Georgia. In an interview, member of the department of the Union of Armenians of Tbilisi and Georgia’s “Vernatun” literary union, teacher of Armenian language and literature Rosa Zohrabian mentioned that the “One Nation, One Culture” festival is very important for Armenians in that it promotes the consolidation of Armenians and “helps preserve Armenian language, culture and customs…” She cordially expressed gratitude to the Armenian government, the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the “One Nation, One Culture” Foundation for organizing this festival. Actress of Shushi’s State Theater after Mkrtich Khandamiryan”, Anush Mirzoyan also said the festival unites all Armenians around the world. “We are able to communicate with our fellow Armenians, get acquainted with theater and dance groups, get to know each other and establish contacts which, I think, is one of the important objectives of this festival,” said Mrs. Mirzoyan. She also attached great importance to the visit to various cultural homes of Armenia because most of the participants are visiting Armenia for the first time and this festival provides them with the opportunity to get acquainted with national culture and values in a short amount of time.
