The winners of the “Hazaran Blbul” republican contest of the children musicals are announced

The gala of the “Hazaran Blbul” 2nd republican contest of the children musicals announced the best 6 participating performances.
The grand prix of the contest was awarded to the professional vocal-choral school for voice preservation (“Oliver!”, Lionel Bart). The first prize was given to the Armavir State Arts College (“Westside Story”, Leonard Bernstein); the second prize was shared by the Ararat Arts School after Gh. Saryan (“The Magic Flute”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) and the Yerevan Arts School after H. Danielyan (“Mary Poppins”, Robert Sherman). The third place was given to the musical school by the Dilijan State Arts College (“Pandora’s Box”, Kane) as well as the Yerevan Arts School after K. Qushnaryan (“The Sound of Music”, Richard Rogers).
The winners of “The Best Actress”, “The Best Actor”, “The Audience Choice”, as well as “The Special Award” were announced.
The winners received specially prepared prizes and certificates of honor. During the closing part of the award ceremony the participants jointly performed the “When the Day Comes” song, devoted to the contest, and performed publicly for the first time (music by Honored Worker of Culture Edgar Gyanjumyan, lyrics by Marine Tagakchyan).
The “Hazaran Blbul” republican contest of the children musicals is held for the second time now. This year the festival was organized upon the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, the “Forward, Children” Educational-Cultural NGO and the Foundation for the Support of Education in Culture.
