Third sitting of intergovernmental commission on economic
cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan to be held in
Ashkhabad in 2011

YEREVAN, APRIL 8, NOYAN TAPAN. At the conclusion of the
second sitting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic
Cooperation between Armenia and Turkmenistan, the Armenian
Co-Chairman of the Commission, Minister of Energy and Natural
Resources Armen Movsisian and the Turkmen Co-Chairman of the
Commission, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Khidir
Saparaliyev signed the protocol of the second sitting.
The Turkmen deputy prime minister announced that the
protocol envisages developing bilateral relations in the spheres
of agriculture, energy, chemical industry, culture, etc. (12
directions in total).
In the words of A. Movsisian, the adopted decisions are
important and will promote the mutually beneficial cooperation
of the two countries. "Armenia attaches great importance to
relations with Turkmensitan, and this sitting of the commission
will give a new impetus to these relations," he stated.
The sides agreed to hold the third sitting of the
intergovernmental commission in Ashkhabad in 2011.
